About Fusion Kitchen

Both my parents were talented chefs, with my father having used his culinary talents to launch his first restaurants in the 1960s. Cooking evidently runs in the family as my grandfather was a chef in the British Navy in the early 1900s too. The story began in 1967 when my father Intaz Ali established his second and Award winning restaurant, The Curry Centre on what is now Sheffield’s prime international dining street that is the infamous London Road. The Curry Centre was a true institution in it’s time, with it also being among the first Indian Restaurants in Sheffield, being a pioneer in introducing some of the staple Indian Cuisine menu items that you see in the Indian restaurants across Yorkshire today. Our family heritage stems from Mauritius, India, Bangladesh, Kashmir and Gujarat. This wide variety of cultures brings with it a vast array of cuisines and inspirational values.
